Only at Azabu Yasaigashi: fluffy shaved ice and vegetable syrups
At the flagship store of Azabu Yasaigashi in Azabu-Juban, you can enjoy their shaved ice in the eat-in space—though only for a limited time from around March to November.
Azabu Yasai Gashi’s shaved ice features unique vegetable-based flavors you won’t find anywhere else, using ingredients like avocado, spinach, and celery.
During our visit, we tried “Cherry tomato shaved ice.”

The fluffy ice shaves away softly, melting gently in your mouth. Inside, it’s filled with plenty of the shop’s special syrup.

“赤いミニトマトのかき氷,” Cherry tomato shaved ice 1,600 JPY (tax included)

The rich flavor and natural sweetness of cherry tomatoes blend beautifully, melting in your mouth together with the ice.
It retains the unique taste of tomato, yet it pairs seamlessly with the sweetness—so much so that you’ll find yourself spooning up bite after bite.

The topping is a sauce made from cream cheese and condensed milk.
As you may know from Italian cuisine, tomatoes pair wonderfully with dairy products like cheese. In this shaved ice, the richness of the dairy gently mellows the tomato’s natural tartness.
