Hitori Yakiniku Gyuton is permanently closed.
Tokyo boasts numerous restaurants catering to solo diners. A prime example of this would be yakiniku (Japanese grilled meat cuisine) restaurants with individual tables equipped with grills.
Located just a short walk from Kanda Station and about a 10-minute walk from Akihabara Station, “Hitori Yakiniku Gyūton” offers a layout and menu that’s easy for solo diners to enjoy.
Leisurely solo yakiniku with individual grills in Tokyo
Hitori Yakiniku Gyuton offers a variety of set menus that include meat, rice, soup, and kimchi. The set menus don’t just offer one type of meat, but assortments of 2-6 types.
Each portion is about 50-75g of meat, allowing solo diners to compare and savor different types.
“プレミアムぎゅーとんセット,” Premium Gyuton Set 2,000 JPY (tax included)
The “Premium Gyuton Set,” priced at 2,000 JPY (tax included), is one of the most popular sets, featuring six types of meat.
This set gained popularity among Korean tourists after being introduced by a Korean YouTuber, resulting in a surge in visits from them.

(from the top, clockwise) pork karubi, pork belly, pork shoulder loin
There are four types of condiments available for your grilled meat: lemon juice, the restaurant’s original “authentic yakiniku sauce,” “garlic & fruit sauce,” and “yangnyeom sauce.”
The authentic yakiniku sauce is crafted to appeal to a wide audience, with a flavor profile emphasizing sweetness and richness, blending soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and apple.

It’s also recommended to customize the basic authentic yakiniku sauce with wasabi or grated garlic to suit your taste.

The garlic & fruit sauce, as the name suggests, combines six types of fruits with garlic, and adds gochujang for a flavor accent.
It has a refreshing sweetness while also offering a mild richness from the garlic and gochujang.
The yangnyeom sauce, developed in response to the restaurant’s high number of Korean customers, offers a sweeter twist on the traditional spicy Korean seasoning.
Ordering meat à la carte is another treat at the restaurant!
Aside from set menus, you can also order individual meats to your liking.
“牛タン(100g),” beef tongue (100 g / 3.5 oz) 1,400 JPY (tax included)
The beef tongue has the characteristic crisp texture of grilled tongue while remaining tender and smooth.
Hitori Yakiniku Gyuton is particular about texture, slicing meat to different thicknesses depending on the cut.
It’s this pursuit of the best possible texture that makes their meat so delicious.
“ハラミ(100g),” skirt steak (100 g / 3.5oz) 700 JPY (tax included)
The skirt steak is a lean and tender cut, and is particularly popular among international diners.
And of course, no yakiniku experience is complete without a drink!
Hitori Yakiniku Gyuton offers a 30-minute all-you-can-drink service starting at 330 yen (including tax), featuring highballs and lemon sours. For an additional 330 yen, you can expand the selection to include seven types of drinks, including beer.
“ジョッキビール(単品),” draft beer (à la carte) 480 JPY (tax included)
