HIBIYA BLOSSOM 2024: A Celebration of Spring, Art, and Eco-Consciousness

This spring, the fusion of art and nature paints Tokyo Midtown Hibiya in vibrant colors with HIBIYA BLOSSOM 2024, set from March 20 to April 14. Embracing the theme “Art & Flowers,” this annual event weaves together artistic expression and the beauty of flora, spotlighting sustainability and elegance in its 2024 rendition. Imagine a setting where artificial flowers, crafted from recycled plastic bottles, stand in harmony with natural blossoms, embodying a commitment to environmental care alongside the renewal of spring.

A Green Ode to Spring

This festival’s highlight, the “Blossom Garden – Plant Sculpture,” draws visitors into a stunning dome adorned with lifelike artificial blooms. Beyond this central piece, a blend of real and crafted flowers forms additional artworks and adorns benches and other objects, enriching the event’s atmosphere with a touch of creativity.

Scenic Moments Await

At HIBIYA BLOSSOM 2024, guests will find themselves surrounded by the charm of both real and artificial blooms, with the addition of neon lighting come evening, offering perfect scenes for capturing memories.

“Blossom Garden: Plant Sculpture” – A Tapestry of Art, Nature and Neon

Among the event’s attractions, the “Blossom Garden: Plant Sculpture” unfolds across the scenic Hibiya Step Square, promising a visual treat.

The centerpiece, known as the “Flower Dome,” stands as HIBIYA BLOSSOM 2024’s crowning jewel. With 70% of its structure made up of artificial flowers derived from recycled plastic, the dome offers a kaleidoscope of colors.

Utilizing eco-friendly yet lifelike artificial flowers, this installation goes beyond mere decoration, becoming a grand spectacle for all to admire.

Rising to a height of about 14 feet and spanning 30 feet in width, the Flower Dome at the Tokyo Midtown Hibiya complex offers a 360-degree panorama. Enjoyable from multiple levels, it provides diverse perspectives on this elaborate work.

As evening falls, the dome and its surroundings are bathed in light, transforming the setting into a magical tableau perfect for photography, blending artistic flair with an awareness for the environment under the Tokyo sky.

Within the dome at Hibiya Blossom, you’re plunged into an enchanting secret garden atmosphere, ideal for anyone looking to capture the essence of spring in their photos. It’s a place where every corner promises a perfect shot, allowing you to choose your favorite spots freely. The photos you take here are not just memories; they’ll also make vibrant additions to your social media accounts, capturing the beauty and magic of the moment.

The steps of Hibiya Step Square gain a new life at night, marrying real and artificial flowers with towering 10-foot-tall neon lights. This magical setting invites all to dive into a luminous floral world, where the interplay of colors and light against the backdrop of night promises scenes not soon forgotten, capturing the essence of Tokyo’s springtime allure.

With the “Blossom Garden – Plant Sculpture” and its dome and step installations illuminated from 16:00 to 23:00, a captivating light envelopes Tokyo Midtown Hibiya each evening, adding a touch of enchantment to the experience.

Hibiya Nakadori: A Floral Tribute to Everyday Wonders

In Hibiya Nakadori, the ordinary becomes extraordinary as it transforms into “Botanical Street – A Daily Thank You.” Common urban fixtures like street lamps, phone boxes, and benches are reimagined with vibrant artificial flowers. This transformation creates a visual feast, turning these everyday items into focal points for creativity and photography.

This unique approach not only beautifies the street but also invites passersby to see their everyday world in a new light. Each adorned element becomes a perfect backdrop for capturing memorable moments, blending the simplicity of city life with the intricate beauty of floral art.
